Law of the People’s Republic of China on Anti-Laundering
Title: Law of the People’s Republic of China on Anti-Laundering Promulgating Organ: The Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Date of Promulgation: October 31, 2006 Date of Implementation: January 1, 2007 Applicable Scope: Anti-laundering. Major Contents: The Law regulates that the administrative department of anti-laundering under the State Council shall be responsible for the national management work in anti-laundering. In respect to supervision to anti-laundering, the Law stipulates that the organs dispatched by the administrative department of anti-laundering under the State Council shall be in charge of supervision and check in the state concerning the obligations made by financial institutions within the scope of the authorized power. The Law also makes provisions to the investigation to anti-laundering. |
