Title: Law of the People’s Republic of China on Supervision by the Standing Committee of People’s Congresses at Various Levels Promulgating Organ: The Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Date of Promulgation: August 27, 2006 Date of Implementation: January 1, 2007 Applicable Scope: Supervision by the standing committee of People’s Congresses at various levels. Major Contents: The Law regulates that Standing Committees of People’s Congresses at different levels shall exercise their power of supervision based on relevant laws and administrative regulations. The Law also provides that the state in exercising supervisory power by the standing committees of people’s congresses shall be publicized. With regard to the examination to the implementation of laws and administrative regulations, the content of a report for law enforcement and examination is stipulated. |
