Major Contents: This law stipulates the purpose of formulating this law, types of cultural relics which are under State protection and the types of all moveable cultural relics owned by the State. This law also stipulates that the People's Government of various levels will be responsible for the protection of cultural relics within its jurisdiction, while at the same time stipulating the scope of achievement worthy of being rendered spiritual encouragement or materialistic encouragement from the State. On immoveable cultural relics, this law stipulates the confirmation of the standard of protection for national key cultural relics. On the archeological excavation, this law stipulates that the work of excavation will be implemented with examination and approval system. On the cultural relics for museum collection, this law stipulates that stringent management system will be set up, submitting to the cultural and administrative department of cultural relics for filing purposes. On civil collection, this law stipulates the methods of obtaining cultural relics. On the import and export of cultural relics, this law stipulates that the system of examination and approval and the issue of permit will be implemented on the export and import of relics. |
