Title of Laws, Regulations, or Judiciary Interpretation: Provisions on the Ban of Recruitment of Child Workers Promulgating Organ: The State Council Date of Promulgation: Oct 1, 2002 Date of Implementation: Dec 1, 2002 Applicable Scope: State organs, social bodies, organizations and institutions, civil-run non-corporate organizations or individual businessmen are not to recruit child labor; no organizations and individuals will be allowed to recommend employment for child labor; child workers are prohibited to deal with individual business activities. Major Contents: These regulations stipulate the age limit for child workers, while also stipulating that no organization will be allowed to recruit child labor. Organizations and individuals are prohibited to recommend employment for child workers. These regulations also stipulate that labor security departments of various levels of the People's Government above county level will be responsible for the supervision and inspection of the implementation of these regulations.
